As we approach state testing season, we want to provide families with information to ensure students are prepared and confident. State assessments help measure student progress and provide valuable information for educators and families about academic growth.
Testing Dates and Subjects:
State testing will begin April 14 and will cover subjects including English Language Arts, Math, Science and other subjects based on grade level. Please see below or refer to the testing calendar for the 2025 schedule.
How to Support Your Child:
Ensure Restful Sleep – A good night’s sleep is essential for focus and performance.
Provide a Nutritious Breakfast – A healthy meal fuels concentration and stamina.
Encourage a Positive Mindset – Remind your child that doing their best is what matters most.
Arrive on Time – Being punctual prevents unnecessary stress before testing begins.
What to Expect:
Students will take their assessments in a structured environment, and teachers will provide instructions to help them navigate the process. In most cases, the tests are completed over multiple days to reduce fatigue.
Why These Tests Matter:
State tests help educators identify strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring that each student receives the support they need. They also help schools and districts evaluate curriculum effectiveness.
We appreciate your partnership in making state testing a smooth experience for your child. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or building principal.
Thank you for your continued support!
