Whitehouse Primary School's third grade students enjoyed a morning of hands-on learning at the Bowling Green State University's Department of Construction Management. Moving through a series of activity stations, they:
- took on LEGO building challenges
- learned about the chemical reactions that form concrete
- discovered how pulleys make moving materials easier
- investigated the makeup of soil
- built bridges
- marveled at drones, and
- so much more!
The event has become a favorite of both Whitehouse Primary and BGSU's students. Many thanks to Lisa Schaller and BGSU for hosting our students, and to the Toledo Architecture Institute of America for sponsoring the event.
