AWHS Cheer Tryouts
April 22: Student-athletes interested in Football/Basketball Sideline, Traditional Competition or Game Day Cheerleading should refer to this flyer for open gym and tryout details.
Community Hygiene Drive
April 1-30: Hosted by AWHS Community Engagement students, donations will support the Anthony Wayne Neighborhood Bridges Resource Room.
Paw-Some Day Out
April 25: Hosted by AWHS Community Engagement students, this event benefitting Toledo Animal Rescue has something for every pet lover.
Animal Supply Drive
May 2: Hosted by the AWHS Community Engagement class in alignment with Monclova Primary's Family Fun Night, this supply drive will support the dogs sheltered by LC4.
Pickleball Tournament
May 4: Hosted by AWHS Community Engagement students, proceeds from the tournament will benefit victims of domestic violence. Register by April 27.
AWHS-Penta FFA Flower Sale
Through May 8: Your purchase of annual flowers and succulents will support the chapter and provide opportunities for students to attend leadership conferences.
53rd Annual Districtwide Art Show
May 10: Enjoy the artistic talents of AWLS students in grades 3-12. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
Strike Out Breast Cancer
May 10: Hosted by the AWHS Community Engagement class, catch the Generals Softball Team vs. Mercy High School. There will be raffles and concessions to raise awareness about breast cancer.
6th Grade Track Camp
May 12-14: Hosted by the AWHS Community Engagement class, FTMS students are encouraged to sign up for track practice, games and prizes.
AW Bands & BBQ Performance & Fundraiser
May 20 & 21: Enjoy a performance by the AWHS and AWJH instrumental ensembles and a BBQ dinner catered by Brookview Farm Meats & BBQ.

April 16: The Waterville Historical Society is hosting this interesting talk about the ties to Fallen Timbers and Fort Meigs.
Toledo Children's Festival
May 3: Families can enjoy free admission to entertainment & activities, summer camp expo and carnival games at TOCA Sports Center.
Waterville Safety City (PreK - Kindergarten)
June 23-27: Registration is open for this early childhood education program for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students.

Family Ties Parent Support Group
Presented by the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, these parent-led meetings will focus on different topics and guest speakers from community agencies.
No School Day Camps
Snapology and Urban Air offer STEAM-based day camps when school is not in session. AWLS families receive a $10 discount.
Ohio BASS Fishing Club (Grades 9-12)
Students interested in competitive fishing events are encouraged to join a community club for eligibility to compete at the state level.

Academic Enrichment
4th Grade History Pass
Ohio 4th grade students can receive free admission to visit participating history museums and historic sites free of charge, with a paid adult admission through Aug. 2025.

Summer Art Workshops (Age 14-18)
July 21-25: The BGSU School of Art is hosting a variety of workshops for students interested in art. Registration closes April 15.
RiverFront Studios: Art Lessons
RiverFront Studios offers a range of art workshops for kids of all ages and adults, exploring a variety of creative mediums. Located in Historic Downtown Waterville.
RiverFront Studios: Music Lessons
Music lessons for kids as well as adults, with programs including piano, guitar, violin/viola, voice, woodwind instruments, and music foundations classes. Located in Historic Downtown Waterville.

AW Young Prospects Camp
June 9-12: An 8th grade soccer camp led by the AW soccer teams to get student-athletes ready for the upcoming HS season.
Anthony Wayne Volleyball Camp (K-8)
The AWHS volleyball team is hosting summer camps for students interested in learning game fundamentals. Registration is open now - camps begin in July.
Jr. Generals Soccer Camp (Ages 6-14)
July 21-24: Learn soccer fundamentals from the AW soccer teams!
Community Organizations
University of Toledo Soccer Camps (Grades K-8)
June 2-6 and June 9-13: Hosted by the women's soccer program, the Rocket Soccer Summer Camps provide youth soccer players the opportunity to develop fundamental skills while having fun.
BGSU Soccer Camp (Ages 6-14)
July 21-24: The BGSU Women's Soccer program is offering fundamentals clinics for boys and girls of all skill levels.
AW Youth Foundation Athletics
AWWBCVB Volleyball Camp (Grades 5-8)
April 26: The Anthony Wayne Youth Foundation is hosting a boys volleyball camp at AWHS. Registration is $25.
Co-Ed Lacrosse Skills & Fundamentals Program (K-2)
Learn basics of lacrosse and fundamental skills, with no contact or equipment (just a stick). Four 1-hour instructional sessions at Blue Creek Park.

AW Theatre Camp (Grades 5-9)
June 16-17: Learn the singing, dancing and acting skills needed to be stage-ready! Registration deadline is June 9.
Academic Enrichment Camps (Grades 3-8)
June 16-27 and July 14-25: BGSU is offering free online academic enrichment camps. Registration is open now for summer 2025
FTMS Camp Invention (Grades 5-6)
June 23-26: Campers will explore fun and educational open-ended STEM challenges at Fallen Timbers Middle School
AWJH Camp Invention: Leaders in Training (Grades 7-9)
June 23-26: Gain confidence as a leader and make an impact as a mentor and role model at this camp at AW Junior High.
Health Professions Careers Summer Camp
July 15-16: Hosted by The University of Toledo, campers will learn about health science, physical/occupational/speech-language therapy and respiratory care careers.
Art & Music Camps
Riverfront Studio in Waterville has a variety of summer camps for students of all ages who are interested in art and music.
Student Employment & Volunteer Opportunities
Lifeguards
The YMCA of Greater Toledo is looking for students who are interested in working as lifeguards at their facilities. Training classes begin in March and April.
